Men’s Work
The phrase “men’s work” has various meanings, depending on who is using it. I am referring to the journey of becoming more authentic and alive with a focus on the specific challenges faced by men. There is beauty and power in the unguarded hearts of men. It changes lives and helps to heal our wounded communities. When we know we belong and that we can trust the wisdom of our emotions, we become more aligned with Life. Our lives become better.
And even if they don’t become easier, the hard things can become bearable because we no longer feel alone.
For many of us, this work includes exploring, uncovering and rediscovering our feelings. The focus on emotion in this work allows us to:
- rebuild trust in our emotions and sensitivity.
- safely explore our emotional experience and then integrate more of our full selves into our lives and relationships.
- reclaim deep and important parts of ourselves that have been silenced in the past.
- experience access to the increased energy, purpose and vitality that has been locked away or needed to keep locked down powerful aspects of ourselves.
Through this process, we get to finally feel the relief of real, embodied self acceptance. This brings more peace into our lives and greater ease in our relationships as we connect with those we love.
Coaching
Coaching for men offers all the power of coaching with the support of a man who has either lived through it or supported others through it.
